• Attendance for January

  This month the following classes have achieved the following attendance. It was very close this month but with 0.1% difference Hedgehogs have won the best attendance with 97.9% - Well done!
  
  1st Hedgehogs with 97.9%
  
  2nd Owls with 97.8% (so close)
  
  3rd Woodpeckers with 95.6%
  
  4th Squirrels with 94.8%
  
  Whole school attendance = 96.4% 
  
  Lets see if we can improve on this during February (it is a shorter month!!!)

   

• Headteachers Award

  This week was the final week for Perseverance. Starting next month is our new value - Kindness.

• NSPCC - The Big Workout!

  Fri 24 Jan 2014
  During our PE sessions next week all pupils will take part in a 'Big Workout' to raise awareness and money for the NSPCC. Each class will spend an hour being 'active' for their physical challenge. Each class will select from either super circuits, aerobics or a fun run. 
  
  Any money raised will go straight to the NSPCC. 
  
  Forms and donations will need to be brought into school by the 5th February.

• May Day and Carnival working party

  Fri 24 Jan 2014
  A small group of pupils are starting to make arrangements for this years village celebrations. The May Day and Carnival festivals are always well supported and we hope this year is the same.
  
  A working party of Jasmin, Tiffany, Poppy, Ellie-Mae, Libby and Kayla have begun to plan both events and will share further details with you shortly. 

• Playground Friends/ Dinner Crew

  Fri 24 Jan 2014

  A new group of playground friends and dinner time crew have begun their new roles this week. Pupils from each class have supported Mr McDonnell during playtimes and staff in the hall at lunchtimes.
  
  The pupils have worked well as a team and are making a difference to all pupils indoors and outdoors. 
  
  I would like to thank the pupils for their hard work and continued support.
  
  Our next meeting is due on Tuesday 4th February.

• Active Kids - Sainsbury's vouchers

  Fri 17 Jan 2014
  We have started to collect the Sainbury's Active Kids vouchers in school. This morning Harry Homer and Daniel Perks shared the Active Kids pack with the whole school and have also placed posters  around the school building to remind everyone to bring the vouchers in. 
  The collection box is now in the main entrance and the children will be able to select what they would like from the new resource catalogue later on in the year.

  We would like to say a BIG thank you to Sainsbury's for donating Christmas decorations that we will be able to use at the end of this year. 
  The fabulous large scale decorations will take pride of place in our school thanks to the generosity of the supermarket.
