Homework
Maths homework will be set each Thursday, to be completed and returned by the following Monday, the return date will be recorded in the homework book. The work will generally be linked to concepts or strategies the children have been working on it class that week. Please support the children as required.
English homework will be set each Friday to be completed and returned the following Wednesday. Most weeks this will consist of spellings, other times there may be a piece of written work to be completed.
Spelling homework - there will be a selection of spellings which we call target words. The children are asked to learn all of the spellings and then choose 6 of them to create sentences, therefore we expect 6 sentences to be completed. We are also looking for neat presentation and accurate sentence punctuation.
Written tasks - the task will always be recorded in their homework book so you are aware of the purpose and expectations of the work.

There will be a spelling test each Wednesday.
