AZTEC SACRIFICE

We had a great lesson about Aztec sacrifice and as you can imagine the children got really involved with the gory discussion! Aztec priests used to use a dagger made of obsidion to cut open a person's body so they could rip out their heart and sacrifice it to their gods! The children did some interesting re-enactments of this and drew some wonderful pictures.
