Maths Through Art
This week our project is based around ‘Appreciation’ and all the things that we are thankful for.
A fantastic way to escape and express ourselves is through art.
People have said that they are noticing the beauty of nature much more at this time. Art is often about observing and what you see. What can you see in these pictures?
We can bring our maths skills into art – as you can see these pictures are made from shapes.
Task 1
Create a picture using shapes. This can be cutting out shapes or drawing shapes.
Are you using one shape or different shapes?

Task 2
Count all of the different shapes that you use.
Can someone you know guess how many of each shape you have used?
Have fun and escape.
