Welcome to Woodpeckers
We hope you have enjoyed the summer break and the children are looking forward to the new term. We have 30 Year 3/4 children in Woodpeckers.
For those of you new to Key Stage 2 there are a few changes moving from year 2 to Year 3. In Key Stage 2 we begin the afternoon sessions earlier at 12.45pm and we do not have an afternoon break. This enables us to teach for a longer session in the afternoon and the children soon get used to the change.
Our theme this term is all about 'Amazing Creations' which will include looking at inventions and inventors past and present. A lot of our work will be based around the text 'Until I met Dudley', and Wallace and Gromit could well make an appearance in our learning!

We had a lovely day on Friday at Birmingham Museum, it went so quickly but was enjoyed by all. Enjoy the photos!
