Homework for pupils in year 6
All pupils are encouraged to read every day at home to/with adults. Every pupil has a reading book and a diary to keep track of their reading. Reading is THE most important part of pupils' homework.
In our class, maths and English homework are set on a Thursday to be handed in on Tuesday. This gives pupils Friday and Monday to check with adults in school if there are any problems or if pupils require any further support.
Spelling and mental maths tests take place on Tuesdays with new spellings set on Wednesdays.
Homework in Owls will sometimes be set via Education City. The procedure for accessing this remains unchanged: all you need is your child's ' Wonde' password and an Internet enabled device. There is a copy of the Wonde password in your child's reading record book if you need it. Click on the link below, and follow the instructions to log into Wonde. You will then be able to access your child's Google Classroom as well as the 'My City' homework that has been set for them on Education City by their teacher.
All pupils will be invited to join our Google Classroom. This will be used in school for some sessions such as computing and may be used for homework tasks as well. As with Education City, children only need their Wonde login to access Google Classroom.
