Welcome to Woodpeckers Class.
We have had a lovely few days and the children  seem to have settled back into the school routine quickly and easily. 
Our topic this term is Rainforests. I have collected some books from the library based around this topic but if the children have any books or information about Rainforests that they would like to bring into school that would be lovely.

Information about homework and PE have been added onto the website under separate headings. 

On Tuesday afternoons Mrs. Downing will be teaching the class, she will be teaching RE and Music.
Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Valentine will be teaching Art on a Friday afternoon.

Letters and consent slips for after school clubs that are taking place this term have been sent home.
Drama Club - Year 3/4
Spanish Club - Year 3 

Tuck - In year 2 children were provided with fruit at morning breaktime (if they wanted it). Now they are KS2 this is no longer the case. However, children are welcome to bring in their own fruit/healthy tuck to have at break time.

A few sporting dates for Year 4 children
OAA festival - Thursday 22nd September (AM) All Year 4 children
Tag Rugby festival - Friday 4th November, selected children who would like to take part in the
                            Pyramid tournament. We won last year!
Letters will be sent out nearer the time, both events take place during school time but off-site.
