Reading

Reading is one of the most important things you can do with your children at home and it is expected that your child reads each day at home. Please record when your child has read at home in their reading records so we can monitor their progress. 

Each morning the children will have chance to read their reading books and change them as required. Free readers will have access to a range of books in the classroom library but are also encouraged to read books from home if they choose. 

TT rockstars 

Every child has access to TT rockstars using their Wonde login details. TT rockstars is a fantastic way your child can practise their times tables improving their confidence and speed. During celebration assembly each week children who are using TT rockstars often will be celebrated. 

Spellings

Each week children will have spellings set to practise at home in preparation for their weekly spelling test. Spelling tests will be on a Monday and new spellings also given out on a Monday. This will give plenty of time for practice at school and home. 

Online homework (education city)

Online homework will also be set through Eduction City, children access this through their Wonde login details. Each week homework will be set linking to the learning of the week. This will generally cover maths and English topics.
