It has been a really lovely day today, welcoming back the children and getting to know some new faces as well. Everyone has settled in well and been enthusiastic to start learning. Within the class we are very lucky to have a number of people help to teach the children; as well as myself there is Mrs Holmes, Mrs Hall, Mrs Allen and Mrs Cadwallader. Mrs Reeves-Walters will also be teaching the class PE on a Wednesday afternoon.

Our new topic is America and we will be learning about native america, the Aztecs and much more, all covering different subject areas. If any of the children have any books on the topic or resources they wish to share with the class, please feel free to bring them in. 

There will be letters with consent slips for different clubs being sent out this week, so if you could please return these to school if your child wishes to participate. Clubs will start in the week of Monday 17th September. 

For the parents of Year 6 children, we will update you on news of transition days to high school etc when we it gets nearer to the time.
