Homework

Maths homework will be set each Thursday to be returned to school by the next Monday. The homework will be based on work we are covering in lessons that week and will be explained to the children before they bring it home.
Most mornings we will have a quick challenge for the children related to multiplication tables. The children will be able to tell you which x table they are focusing on.

Literacy/spelling homework will be set each Friday to be returned by the next Thursday. Children will be given spellings to learn and they will be asked to then choose a number of those spellings to put into sentences. This way they will be thinking about the meaning of the words by putting them into context, as well as how to spell the words. There will also be a focus on using correct punctuation.
Spellings tests will take place on a Thursday.
