Numeracy homework will be set on a Monday to be handed in on a Friday. It is to be completed in the numeracy homework book, not on the sheet.
Literacy homework will be set on a Monday (starting the 20th Sep) to be handed in on Friday. It is to be completed in the literacy book, not on the sheet.
Spellings will be set on a Tuesday to be learnt for a test the following Tuesday. Any children getting less than 80% will be kept in at breaktime the following day to practice their spellings. The children will also be required to put their spellings in to sentences for homework to be handed in on Tuesday.
Times tables will be set on a Wednesday (starting 15th Sep) to be tested the following week.
Topic and science homework may also be set as and when required. This will depend on whether any follow up work is necessary. The timing for these will vary, but won't be less than 4 nights.
If homework is set, to be completed on the Learning Platform, children will be given a week to complete it. If you have trouble with internet access at home this should leave time for children to visit the library. There will also be the option of the children spending Wednesday lunchtime with me in the ICT suite to complete the Learning Platform homework.
Homework will be graded depending on the effort the children have put in. The grades will be as follows:
A - Excellent effort
B - Satisfactory effort
C - Messy/could be improved
D - Late or incomplete
