Topic
We are coming to end of our Working Animals topic.
Science
Our new Science topic is Materials. Our science lessons take place every Friday afternoon.
Times Tables
Year 2 children in the class will be sent home soon with times tables books. They will be told each week which ones to learn. We will have a times tables session every Tuesday and during this session we will play multiplication games and your child will be tested on their times tables.
Spellings
New spellings will, as before, be given out on a Friday and your child will be tested on their words the following Friday.
From now onwards, year 2 children will be expected to form their letters correctly in their spelling tests.
Show and Tell
Every Friday.
The Class Teddy
Your child may bring the class teddy home for the weekend or for a special holiday. Please ask Mrs Hall if you would like to take him home.
Any questions or concerns please do not hestitate to come and speak to me or Mrs Hemming.
