Find out about this natural habitat and what lives there? Why is it so important?
How do humans affect it? Can we stop it’s destruction?
Have a go at one of the activities:
1.Draw a picture of some of the animals that live there or draw a picture of all the rain forest layers, showing what lives at each layer.
2.Write a non-chronological report about it. What makes it special, where is it? What lives there: animals and plant species? How do humans affect this habitat?

There is so much to celebrate about this part of the world. This continent is remarkable in so many ways. Please spend some time finding things out for yourself, however if you want some guidance here are some suggestions.

the longest mountain range, the Andes (whose highest mountain is Aconcagua at 6,962 m or 22,841 ft);
the driest non-polar place on earth, the Atacama Desert;
the wettest place on earth, López de Micay in Colombia
The greatest Rainforest, the Amazon in Brazil.
