Reading Books
Each child in Reception has a blue reading record book. Inside this book, there are spaces for you to write comments about how your child has got on with their reading book. This will help us to give the most appropriate books out to the children. We will listen to your child read on a Tuesday and Friday and change their books if we feel it is appropriate. In order for a new book to be given to a child, we need to receive the finished book first to avoid lost books. We will be using books from the Oxford Reading Tree, Jolly Phonics and Floppy Phonics schemes when sending books home to be read.
