Our First Day at school

  • The Gruffalo - rap!! Experience the story of the Gruffalo like never before. Ollie's music and rhythmic story telling will be sure to get any school rapping and chanting along in minutes
  • The Gruffalo The Brummy accent of the mouse made me laugh!!!! A lovely re-telling of the story by Julia Donaldson
  • Jungle fruit A game to help children practice one more and one less.
  • Chestnut Children's Center Chestnut Childrenâ€TMs Centre can provide a wealth of opportunities for you and your family to have fun, play, learn and grow. They are based at Franche Primary School and are part of the Wolverley Partrnership. Check out what they have to offer here.
  • Set the clock A time game where you have to listen to the time and set the clock.
  • Pick a picture Read the word, and then choose the correct picture that matches the word.
  • Christmas online colouring Choose a Christmas picture then have a go at colouring it on-line. Which picrure are you going to choose?
  • Diwali We are learning all about the Hindu faith and specifically Diwali. Take a look at this video telling us all about the festival of lights.
  • Jolly Phonics songs Have a look at this video to learn all the sounds from Jolly Phonis with the sound and sction.
  • Vowel Song Have a look at these Jolly Phonics songs for the long and short vowel sounds. Haelp the children learn the name and the sound of the vowels.
  • Picnic on Pluto Read the word on the snack. If it is a real word give it to BOB, if it's a nonsense word, give it to OBB!! Choose phase 2, then try phase 3.
  • Dragon's Den Choose phase 2 to start with, then try phase 3
  • Buried Treasure Read the word on the coin. If it is a real word put it in the cheat, if it's a made up word put it in the bin. Choose phase 2 to begin with, then try phase 3.
  • Pick a Picture Match the word to the correct picture. Choose phase 2 to start with. If they are confident try stage 3.
  • Mirrors Try this game, and see if you can use the mirrors to reflect the light in the right direction.
  • Giraffe numbers Children can practice 1 more/1 less, or 2 more/2 less using this interactive game.
