Positive Behaviour
All children are expected to contribute to an environment where everyone is Safe, Happy and Learning.
To achieve this, children are encouraged to demonstrate:
- Good Listening
- Kind words in a calm voice
- Respect ourselves and each other
- Kind hands and kind feet
Class Rewards and Privileges
Children who are showing exceptional behaviour, effort or kindness will be rewarded with a privilege card. Privilege card holders will be able to 'bank' their card in exchange for rewards. These rewards include: jobs to do in the classroom the following week, minutes towards the class golden time, small treats or a show and tell slot.
Once the class have built enough golden time minutes we discuss how they would like to 'cash in' their minutes and we agree a plan for the time by voting and agreeing on what that session will look like.
Consequences
Sometimes children require support in making the right choices and the Good to be Green flowchart helps them with this.
