Yellow folders will continue to be updated on Fridays. Please can you ensure folders are in school on Fridays ready to be updated.
Over the next few weeks children will start to bring home reading books and a reading record if they have not done so already. These books will be changed on a weekly basis. During the week our expectation is that you spend 5-10 minutes exploring the book with your child at least 4 times a week. During these times you can support your child by segmenting and blending the words whilst discussing the story. This can include explaining new vocabulary and recalling events from the story. Please ensure you write in the reading record when you share books with your child so we can talk to the children about their progress in school.
