    Outdoor Creative Play Area

Wolverley Sebright VA Primary School is a small village school looking to improve its outdoor play area to promote outdoor creative play for the pupils of the School.

The Staff, Governors and parents work hard together to promote healthy and active outdoor play to support the well-being of the children of the community. The Early Years playground is outdated and showing wear and tear with many areas showing damage and patch repairs, and has an overall "tired" look.

The School recognises that the current play area does not provide the children with as many learning opportunities to develop key skills or promotes sensory development. The pupils could thrive outside and really need to be able to access this area throughout the day in all weathers.

The range of equipment we could have to develop our outdoor play area will have a direct impact and promote greater development in all of the Early Years curriculum areas.

We need to create an outdoor area so that it is an extension of our indoor learning environment, offering shelter for outdoor play.

We are looking to work with an established supplier who offer 20 year guarantees on their projects.

The School Association work closely with the leadership team and the School Council and have together identified the immediate benefits to the children across the school.

Wolverley Sebright promotes active relationships between the children of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with the older children having roles such as playground assistants and buddies.

Our Children have amazing and creative imaginations, what we are looking to create is a colourful, stimulating, fun, positive and educational outdoor environment for them to express themselves in.

  • 1st Cabinet Meeting

    1st Cabinet Meeting

The first cabinet meeting took place this morning with Ministers in Education, Health, Sports and Environment joining the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Chancellor.

The main agenda item was to create the first manifesto to share with everyone. The ministers will now lead department meetings with their junior ministers to finalise the focus points for each area of the government.

I have to say politicians around the world could learn a great deal from the meeting this morning - respectful and informative!

All the pupils from Wolverley Sebright School in Worcestershire who took part in the Young Cadet scheme completed their course and received their certificates today in a traditional 'passing out parade'.

In front of their proud parents, the local policing team who delivered their lessons, senior police officers, the deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia and parish councillors, the pupils lined up in their cadet uniforms to receive their certificates, presented to them by Inspector Gareth Lougher on Friday 7 October.
