School Updates and Latest News
Good weather for the 3rd day in a row - quite unusual for this trip! This morning, as we thought, the children slept in for longer - in fact we had to wake some of them up!
Another full day of activities including canoeing, gorge scrambling and rock climbing, amazing how determined the children are when trying new activities, they should be proud of themselves for what they have achieved over the last couple of days.
We are now doing our after dinner jobs, starting our packing (can't believe it's that time already) before heading out for a bit of free time at the local park.
Pyjamas, hot chocolate and bed is the order of play for later - hopefully a great night's sleep will prepare us for the castle visit and journey home tomorrow.
Everyone happy, well-fed and looking forward to tonight's activity.
See you tomorrow.
Goodbye from Wales
First full day at Arete and so much fun and laughter. Not many of us stayed dry as gorge scrambling and canoeing were the main activities today. Those of us who were gorge scrambling walked, slid and floated in the water while those in the canoes raced and splashed!
When we got back to the centre we warmed up and ate a very good dinner - it was amazing to see what an appetite we had worked up during the day's activities!
Tonight we have had a bracing walk along the coast road to Caernarfon castle.
It all seems very quiet at the moment - are they actually all fast asleep so soon after lights out?? Time will tell!
Hi everyone, we are having a great time here in Wales. when we arrived we got shown to our rooms (dorms!), unpacked and made our beds! After lunch we went for a walk near the slate quarry which was windy but enjoyable. Everyone ate well at dinner and it was amazing to see all the rosy, healthy cheeks after just a couple of hours out in the welsh fresh air.
Tonight we have visited the beach where we had great fun collecting shells, throwing stones into the sea and building fortresses from rocks! We are now having hot chocolate and cake before going to bed and hopefully to sleep!!!
We will update you tomorrow about the adventures we are having! Weather looks promising for the rest of the week.
Goodbye for now, from all the yr4s.
