After a drizzly start we enjoyed some good weather again today. Whole day of activities including canoeing and visit to a slate mine for one group, while the other groups spent the day inside a mountain as miners with head torches and candles showing us the way from one end of the mine to the other. Children all enjoyed their day and we finished off by going down to the lake this evening. Hot chocolate and cake before bedtime and just waiting for lights out! Off to Caernarfon Castle in the morning before heading back to Wolverley.
See you tomorrow, our time here has gone so quickly but it has been a fabulous and exciting time for everyone.

Hi
What a fantastic day, lovely warm sunshine for gorge scrambling which followed a trip to the beach for one group and rafting on the lake for the others. We got quite wet, well very wet, scrambling but it cooled us down and we had a lot of fun wading across the rocks and through pools of water. We have photographic evidence of it all!! Rafting showed what fantastic teamwork we have here and we were rewarded with toasted marshmallows on a camp fire!
Lovely dinner followed by an evening trip to the beach where we built sandcastles, played gamesand generally enjoyed a bit of free time with our friends.
All children now tired and snuggled up in bed for a great nights sleep!

What a great start to the visit, journey went well and after lunch, setting up our dorms and unpacking we have really enjoyed our first day here. Weather is fine and this afternoon we all trekked up a mountain, no less than 729 metres high! Some parts were pretty steep but we had fun and were proud of ourselves for reaching the summit and the views were fantastic. After working up an appetite we ate well and then spent the evening doing some orienteering. The children have now had their bedtime hot chocolate and are hopefully settling down for a good night's sleep! Everyone has settled well and we look forward to a full day of activities tomorrow. Will let you know tomorrow night what we have got up to!!
