School Updates and Latest News
We are thrilled to share some very exciting news - Mrs Harrison is expecting her first baby, a boy, this May.
The pupils in Hedgehogs will help Mrs Reeves-Walters choose a teacher who will cover Mrs Harrisons maternity cover.
What a way to start the New Year!
Each class was given a special task this morning during assembly to complete during this week.
The tasks range from exploring the contents of a story sack to designing and creating a maths game.
Nobody (and that includes all staff) knew what task they had until 9am this morning!
The children have been busy planning a range of activities all morning and already we have seen a Gruffalo dance and the concept for a game that includes paying the tax man 20% of your winnings!!!
Our children are also exploring the characteristics of an effective learner - learning is fun and its fun to learn!
We will keep you updated on the class pages as to what goes on this week - watch this space!

What a wonderful performance from the pupils in Robins and Squirrels. Our first review is in and here it is...
Dear KS1 pupils,
Thank you for letting me watch your wonderful Christmas performance. I really enjoyed listening to your singing, dancing and watching your very professional acting. You had a lot words to remember and a you must have worked very hard to remember all the actions and directions. I really liked your costumes and I thought the idea of the Sky News reporter and the TV on the stage was really unique. Thanks for a really entertaining evening and well done again. Happy Christmas.

Dear Schools
Over the past couple of weeks we have been receiving calls from local residents advising us that there is a group of children going around Carol Singing! This started in mid November, and I'm sure will continue through December.
Whilst there is nothing particuarly wrong in them doing this, there are concerns that these children are out without a responsible adult, in the hours of darkness, and in most cases wanting money for singing. We have been told that one child was only aged only 5-6yrs
There is also the fact that it is far too early to be out Carol Singing and the calls to police have been from residents who are saying these children are calling on a near daily basis, sometimes to the same address!
There are also a lot of elderly residents who live alone in the area who do not wish to be bothered at all times of the evening with people knocking on their doors, and finally the added worry we have, of not knowing who these children could be coming into contact with, when knocking a strangers door.
Could I ask for you to mention this in your assemblys to your pupils and also to highlight this to parents either by text/ email or on your newsletters please, and if anyone knows who these children may be to contact me on the below, so that I can pay a visit to their family.
Thank you for your help in this matter

Non Emergency Incident Number 101
Well done to all the children who took part in the annual Wyre Forest Cross Country event at St Anne's last Friday. Many thanks also go to family/friends who came along to support the children, hearing the cheering makes such a difference.
All the children enjoyed the experience, starting the races with a smile and also finishing with a smile!
With over 100 children competing in each race our children performed really well and should be so proud of themselves.
A special mention to our Yr6 boys team who came 2nd in the small school's table.
ECO Warriors
During our celebration assembly today we issued the ECO schools badges to the pupils selected to take on this role under the guidance of Mrs Harrison.
The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 12th November
