Parent Pay starting September 2021......booking your child's meal
Bookings for school meals, for all school years, will no longer be organised by the school office. From 6th September 2021, parents will need to book their child's meal, whether it be a universal free school meal (years Reception, 1 & 2), a free school meal or a paid meal (for years 3,4,5 & 6) via their Parentpay account. Parents should have by now received through an activation letter with username and password. Once the account has been activated, this will allow parents to pre-book (and pay in advance for years 3,4,5 & 6). You can do this in your ParentPay account.
Please email the school office if you have lost or need your username details to be sent out again or if you have any queries about booking school meals.
If your child requires a school meal, these must be pre-booked by the Thursday prior to when your child would like their meal. For example, if your child requires a school meal on Monday 6th September, these must be pre-booked (& paid for, for years 3,4,5 & 6) by midnight on Thursday 2nd September. Please note that bookings/monies will no longer be taken by the school office on the morning of the lunch, they must be done in advance, the Thursday prior. If you forget to book your child's lunch, your child will be without a lunch on that day and parents will be called by the school office with the request that a lunchbox is brought to the school by the parent.
How to book your child's lunch -
Once you have activated your child's Parentpay account, click on the Make bookings button to identify which days your child will take a meal. If your child is in years Reception, 1 or 2, simply click on the choices and save, there is no need to pay for your child's lunch as your child is eligible for a universal free school meal. It may be preferable to complete your child's menu up until the week beginning the 18th October - this is when the menu changes and a new menu will be uploaded.
If your child is eligible for a free school meal (you will have been notified of this already) again, please click on the choices and save, there is no need to pay.
If however, your child is in years 3,4,5 or 6 and you need to pay £2.20 daily for a school meal, making a payment is straightforward. Simply pre-book your child's meals and go the 'pay by' button. You can pay by bank transfer, by inputting your card details or you can 'set up a parent account' where you can add funds.
Once your booking has been confirmed, payment must be made within 2 hours. Failure to do so will result in unpaid bookings being cancelled. If your payment due is zero, simply confirm bookings and no further action is required.
ParentPay is a free service for you to use and provides the school with up to date contact details for emergencies and future communications. Even if you do not plan to pay via ParentPay, please activate your account for future use and communications.
Parents wishing to pay by cash in advance of online booking can do so at local convenience stores displaying the PayPoint logo. Please note that PayPoint payments may take up to 36 hours to show in ParentPay. If you need to pay using PayPoint, please contact the school office (office@wolverleysebright.worcs.sch.uk) and you will be sent a barcode. When paying by PayPoint, you will still need to log into your ParentPay account to book 's meals, this then informs the school kitchen.
Please visit www.parentpay.com, and activate your account today.
Many thanks

Late Register Option...
In light of a certain event taking place on Sunday evening we would like to gauge parental feedback as to how many will welcome the option for their child to arrive slightly later on Monday morning.
School times will still operate as usual but from a safeguarding aspect we will need to know who to expect by 9am and who will be arriving later on that day.
Mrs Hackett will send out a Google Form as this is the quickest way for us to establish who will be and when. Please only complete this form if your child will be arriving late on Monday.
If you do wish for your child at arrive later on Monday morning we ask that they do so by 10am and arrive at the main entrance so we can register each child and take them to their class. This is of course unless there is any national guidance which would alter our school day.
Many thanks
Wednesday 7th July
All headteachers were alerted this evening to an incident that took place after school today in the Franche area.
A man and a woman in a small white car attempted to get a pupil into their car. We have been told the woman was driving whilst the man got out of the car. Luckily the child is safe however, the police have been informed and are taking this very seriously.
We would urge all parents to be vigilant at the start and end of the school day and remind their children of stranger danger - as we will in school.
If anyone has any information please report this directly to the Police.
Year 6 Leavers
This year our Year 6 Leavers event will take place on the school playground on Friday 16th July 11.00am - 12.00pm. Parents are invited to join their child as we present and celebrate their time with us.
Following this service our Year 6 will continue their celebrations with a special luncheon (of their choice) in school. They will also have time with their buddy and will help lead in our End of Year Celebration Assembly.
This will be remote which all parents will be able to join via the special link from 1.30pm - 2.15pm.
During this celebration our year 6 will support me in presenting awards to each year group which will include our Value Awards, Reading Recognition, Sports Stars of the Year and a new CEL Award.

Planning for September
As we approach the final two weeks of school we will provide opportunities for our children to plan with staff for September.
Due to the guidance, which we are obliged to follow, our original plans for all pupils to spend quality time with staff in classrooms now needs to be adapted. Every member of staff will provide an overview of what their year group will focus on and cover during the autumn term.
The staffing structure for September is presented below and takes in account key milestones in school and how we can best support our children at each stage. We hope that our families will be allowed back into School for open mornings, workshops and to have a look around when we return.
The School has undergone many changes over the last year and we dearly hope that families will get the opportunity to see how the changing learning environments are promoting and enhancing our children’s learning experiences.
We are currently drawing up our beginning of term arrangements for September and, although there is limited clarity or detail for all Schools there is also the possibility any plans drawn up now will be subject to change in light of future Government announcements. We will nevertheless share our guide for the start of term before the end of this one.
Please continue to monitor our School Website and text messages.
Reporting to Parents
The final touches are being put to your child's end of year report which we will email to families from Monday 12th July. There is an opportunity, if you wish, to speak (remotely) to your child's current teacher on Tuesday 13th or Wednesday 14th July. Mrs Hackett will send a Google Form to all families - if you wish to register an appointment there will be proposed timings which staff will coordinate with you the best they can.
Meet and Greet
In the autumn term it is our aim to invite families to a 'Meet and Greet' session with the new year group staff. Staff will be able to share further details of what your child will cover and expect in their new school year. We await confirmation on what we can and can't do so final plans will be shared nearer the time.

Wolverley toddler group is finally reopening on Thursday 1st of July at 10am.
We have been asked by the Group to let all parents know!
They are only taking bookings via Facebook and they're limited to 15 adults (under 5's don't count under the current regulations).
They need to fill all 15 places to cover costs so they have asked that we spread the word to anyone who may be interested in attending.
Many thanks

Updates
Following the announcement by the Government that restrictions will remain in place until 19th July; the DFE and Public Health in Worcestershire have provided schools at the end of last week with guidance to end of term events. We have examined all up coming events with the following changes now needed.
New Reception Intake
Our new Reception intake transition sessions will now be revised. Remote sessions will replace in-school visits this side of the summer break. We will be sharing with parents our plans at the Remote Welcome Evening on Wednesday 23rd June.
Transition in School
We can still provide transition sessions within school as we are able to maintain ‘Bubble’ groups. More details to follow next week.
Sports Day
All sports day events will now take place on the school field without parents.
Unfortunately as we need to use the School Field instead of Mill Lane we are unable to invite parents to join us.
Staff will take photographs and videos that will be uploaded to seesaw for families to view.
Fun on the Field
We had hoped to hold our annual Fun on Field at the end of term. Unfortunately this will not be able to take place this year.
Year 6 Leavers
We are still able to carry out an outdoor leavers service (weather permitting) as this will be restricted to only the children in the class. As like last year pupils will sit socially distanced with their parents on the playground. Track and trace will be in place with the short service recorded for those unable to attend.
Like all schools we are disappointed that we are still unable to provide a more inclusive approach to planned events.
