Bell Boating
Fri 07 Feb 2014The children in Woodpeckers will have the opportunity to take part in Bell Boating at Cookley Primary School in March. We hope that more of our pupils will have the chance to benefit from this activity which is so close to our school. -
Attendance for January
Fri 31 Jan 2014This month the following classes have achieved the following attendance. It was very close this month but with 0.1% difference Hedgehogs have won the best attendance with 97.9% - Well done!
1st Hedgehogs with 97.9%
2nd Owls with 97.8% (so close)
3rd Woodpeckers with 95.6%
4th Squirrels with 94.8%
Whole school attendance = 96.4%
Lets see if we can improve on this during February (it is a shorter month!!!) -
Headteachers Award

NSPCC - The Big Workout!
Fri 24 Jan 2014During our PE sessions next week all pupils will take part in a 'Big Workout' to raise awareness and money for the NSPCC. Each class will spend an hour being 'active' for their physical challenge. Each class will select from either super circuits, aerobics or a fun run.
Any money raised will go straight to the NSPCC.
Forms and donations will need to be brought into school by the 5th February. -
May Day and Carnival working party
Fri 24 Jan 2014A small group of pupils are starting to make arrangements for this years village celebrations. The May Day and Carnival festivals are always well supported and we hope this year is the same.
A working party of Jasmin, Tiffany, Poppy, Ellie-Mae, Libby and Kayla have begun to plan both events and will share further details with you shortly. -
Playground Friends/ Dinner Crew
Fri 24 Jan 2014A new group of playground friends and dinner time crew have begun their new roles this week. Pupils from each class have supported Mr McDonnell during playtimes and staff in the hall at lunchtimes.
The pupils have worked well as a team and are making a difference to all pupils indoors and outdoors.
I would like to thank the pupils for their hard work and continued support.
Our next meeting is due on Tuesday 4th February. -
