As we approach half term, we ask that if your child develops any of the key COVID-19 symptoms (high temperature; new continuous cough or loss or change to sense of smell and taste) from after school on Friday 12th to Sunday 14th February 2021 and if they go on to receive a positive test you must email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
• name and class of the infected child
• the date they first had symptoms
• confirming that they have received a positive test
It is very important that you let us know as soon as a positive test is received, as it allows us to trace anyone that had close contact in school, for a 48-hour period prior to symptoms developing. We will then advise all contacts to self-isolate for the 10 days.
Of course, if your child tests positive over half term, from Monday 15th onwards, please do not send your child to school after half term, as your child & all members of the household must self-isolate for 10 days. Please inform the school on Monday 22nd.
If you have any queries or questions about symptoms or self isolation, please contact 119 or go to www.gov.uk/coronavirus
