Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term - an exciting and busy time of the year for us all. Please check the calendar dates for all the upcoming events in November and December.
We begin with a period of reflection and remembrance leading to Monday 11th November where at 11am we will gather to remember those who serve to defend our democratic freedoms and way and marks the day World War One ended.
The Royal British Legion have provided the school with Poppies and snap bands that the pupils can purchase. All funds donated will be go towards the great work provided by this charity.
November is also the month where in all schools we celebrate and support Children in Need. On Friday 15th November our pupils will have the opportunity to come to school in their own clothes and purchase a Pudsey wristband to wear.
Also taking place on this day is the Cross Country event at St Anne’s for pupils in Year 5 and 6. We wish all pupils all the best.
With our Key Stage 2 RE trip taking place on 18th and 20th November our pupils will gain an invaluable experience when they visit the Synagogue in Birmingham. A wonderful opportunity which will enhance our pupils understanding and knowledge.
Our school curriculum intent is to ensure all our pupils experience a range of learning opportunities and none more so than our Blooms Workshops Week that took place before half term. Each Blooms level is linked to a British Icon and our pupils were able to develop their understanding of each icon and key skills. I would like to say a huge thank you to all our pupils, staff and parents who supported this event in school. Thank you Mrs Harrison!
As we approach the festive period of the school year; staff will write to parents with details of each year group/ key stage performances in December. Get ready to be humming traditional and new songs in your sleep!
Our PTA are in the midst of organising a host of Christmas events including a Christmas Fayre which will take place on Friday 13th December. All details will be shared in the coming days but I know all our families will come together to support the pupils of our school.
