Greetings from The Frank Chapman Centre
Day 1: "Once we had arrived at the centre Chris (the man in charge) took us on a tour and showed us all the facilities. Once that was completed we unpacked. The pods are amazing!
Some of the girls have each outfit laid out ready to wear (tip from Mrs Reeves-Walters) whereas some of the boys have 'placed' their luggage so it is easily accessible (tip from Mr McDonnell).
After an afternoon of team building games and activities and we were joined by Mrs Stiles. Before our evening adventure we had some free time to play on the tree swing, play football with Mr McDonnell, cricket with Miss Bidnell or just relax in the sun!
Once Mrs Reeves-Walters arrived we ventured down into the forest for shelter building and treats around the camp fire.
With each group working as a team the shelters created were the best the centre had ever seen!
With the water heating up over the camp fire it was then time for hot chocolate and marshmallows - yum, yum!
With the sun setting we headed back for showers and to get ready for bed. Mrs Reeves-Walters, Miss Bidnell and Mr McDonnell checked in on all of us and stayed awake for ages making sure we were all ok.
Mrs Reeves-Walters has headed back to school to support year 6 with their SATs but is coming back after school.
Well that's all for now - hope our friends in year 6 smash their last test - Good Luck!
See you all soon!"
